Before you call

What does the inspection cover?

A full inspection of the cap, crown, flue liner, smoke chamber, damper and firebox on one standard flue, a professional sweep with rods and HEPA vacuum, and the photographs. Anything the inspection finds is quoted separately, in writing, before any repair starts. Extra flues are quoted up front.

Do you repair chimneys or only clean them?

Both. Crown rebuilds, cap and damper replacement, flue relining, flashing and leak repair, tuckpointing and masonry rebuilds. Every repair comes as one written number before work starts, and the estimate is free.

How often should a chimney be inspected?

NFPA 211 calls for an inspection at least once a year. CSIA puts the sweeping threshold at an eighth of an inch of sooty buildup, or sooner if there is glazed creosote.

What about the mess?

Debris is contained at the hearth. We cover the working area and take the debris with us.
